Spiral conveyors applications
Spiral conveyor technology designed for continuous vertical product flow, featuring a small footprint, high throughout, low maintenance and long operational life is guaranteed by Apollo VTS.

|
Spiral conveyors can handle most conveyable product, including bags, bundles, totes, trays, pales, cans, bottles, containers, wrapped and unwrapped items.
APOLLO has a modern test facility in Coevorden and many of our customers take advantage of this service to make sure their particular products will convey properly on our spiral conveyor. |
The spiral conveyors are frequently used as elevators or lowerators in packaging lines. Many of these lines run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The spirals can be delivered in stainless steel or wash down versions, suitable for food handling. Spiral conveyors are also very attractive as continuous lifts between floors in multilevel order picking systems or any other vertical conveying application with limited space and a need for high reliability.
Applications in cold storage and freezer operations are also standard solutions for Apollo VTS.

Applications within different industries
Spiral conveyors are utilized in a wide range of different industries where vertical transport is required for specific reasons due tot building limitations, high infeed palletisers or ensuring maximum availability of floor space by routing products through factory at mezzanine levels. Please find below some specific examples of spiral conveyor applications.
|
Food industries
Special application within the food industry can be as divers as from transporting packed meals out of freezer tunnels to allow for packaging downstream as to overcome heights between two levels in the production process or to feed packed items at high level to allow for palletising. |

Beverage industries
Spirals are used downstream de-palletisers to transport single empty bottles to the filling lines at the next level or the opposite, transporting full bottles downstream of the filling line to the packing level if required. Furthermore transport of six packs and/or crates/cartons of product is a standard application in locations where production/palletising areas are at different levels. |

Pet Food industries
Pet food, after being packed in either bags or boxes are transported to high level with the Spiral conveyors. This either to create free floor space and conveying product through the factory at high level or to convey goods to a high infeed palletiser. |
